Today I helped on a school trip to Mt Hutt, the kids all seemed to have fun and I managed to get a little skiing done. I took my camera with my smallest lightest lens – a 50mm. The weather changed over the day but the main feature was wind, with some of the lifts being shut as a result. I made a few attempts to capture the wind on camera, this is one.
I took my kids skiing today, the first time this year. Great fun and a few photos along the way.
We didn’t need one of these fortunately.
Really the last few images from Mt Hutt last weekend. Actually it is snowing there now and there are about 300 people stuck on the mountain with a southerly storm coming through. All warm and safe apparently – maybe time for one more trip before the end of the season.
A pano from the top of Mt Hutt, a 50mm lens and 7 stitched images.
I only took my 50mm lens skiing, the camera is heavy enough without a big lens as well, and my skiing is still a bit rusty. Not having a wide angle with me I made a panorama from the top.
A couple of shots at the top of Porters ski field, the sun was out but the snow quite icy.
