Early Start

I have been neglecting my blog after several years of fairly regular updates. I suspect I may now be out of the habit and will blog only occasionally. About a week ago I joined some of my fellow camera club members on an early morning trip to Castle Hill on the way to Arthur’s Pass. It was cold but pretty :-).

I took a trip to Kaikoura on Sunday, partly to support the town following the recent earthquakes and partly to see the results. It was great to see the town busy on a sunny if windy day. This is a quick shot near the seal colony on the peninsula, it looks like the rocks have risen a bit!

West Coast Waves

Just over a week ago I attended the PSNZ Southern Regional Convention, on the Saturday field trips were organised and the trip I selected included an old gold mine and some amazing coastline. The weather might have been better, it was almost impossible to keep the camera lens dry and I have ended up with only a few images but this one gives some impression of the waves crashing along the coast.
