Just one Moeraki boulder, most of the others were occupied with tourists or covered in sea!
I am just back from a lovely trip to Oamaru in North Otago. This is form a trip to see Yellow Eyed Penguins at Bushy Beach. We saw seals but no penguins this time.
Very different light just after sundown in the blue hour over Lake Wanaka.
A reasonably civilised sunrise time encouraged me to get up, and the rain had not yet arrived. A shot from Glendhu Bay.

I took a walk up Roys Peak on Saturday, a bit damp off and on and the clouds were low when I started. Fortunately the clouds did clear from time to time and gave some lovely views across Lake Wanaka to the mountains beyond.

We spent a night at Lake Tekapo on Saturday – a windy night and a damp morning – and then drove down to Wanaka, rain and clouds off and on which made for interesting light at least.
Lake Pukaki – no sig of Mt Cook!
My trip to Otago included a day in Arrowtown, I was hoping to catch the autumn colours but was a couple of weeks early unfortunately. It is however a pretty town with lots of old buildings an interesting features. I stopped to take some images of some of the older buildings, or at least parts of them. The processing is a little over the top perhaps but I felt like it today!
