A trip to the beach this evening, still quite mild and lovely colours in the sky. Subtle pinks and purples. This was a long (4 minute) exposure which has turned the sea flat.
The breakwater at Oamaru, waves crashing over and a very long exposure.
Just one Moeraki boulder, most of the others were occupied with tourists or covered in sea!
I am just back from a lovely trip to Oamaru in North Otago. This is form a trip to see Yellow Eyed Penguins at Bushy Beach. We saw seals but no penguins this time.
I was out with the Kaiapoi Photographic Club last night on a walk about in Christchurch. We started at the Margaret Mahy Playground which is an amazing resource. This is a shot taken at the Avon River running alongside the playground.
I picked up a new toy a couple of days a go, an 85mm f1.4 lens. I haven’t had a chance to play with it in anger but did ry and catch the cats. Shooting wide open is very hard to get the focus spot on – lots of practice required I think.
A little intentional camera movement at sunrise, I think it looks very peaceful.
