Not my garden as it happens but pretty flowers in Wellington.
A different theme today, one of my colleagues at work works with Raptor Rescue and today Eva the Australasian Harrier Hawk was brought in, unfortunately Eva is blind in one eye and can’t live in the wild, instead she helps with advocacy for protecting these amazing birds. I took a few quick shots with my 50mm lens which is all I had with me!
A lovely winter’s day, a cold start and then stunning blue skies, a good day for a lovely walk from Taylors Mistake to Godley Head, not a great day for photographs but pretty nonetheless.
I don’t often take natural history images but while down in the Catlins I met these fascinating animals on the beaches. I hope I have identified them correctly, no doubt someone will correct me if not!
This is a very simple image, I was playing in Lightroom and simply rotated the image through 90 degrees otherwise this is a simple reflection image, cropped a little and with a touch of contrast added. I couldn’t believe just how different it looked just rotated.
This cute little thing was bouncing around as I packed up my car in the Oparara Basin.
This curious Weka stayed around long enough even for me to get a photo.
