Something different from my trip to Wellington, we went to the Gallipoli Exhibition at Te Papa on a wet morning. It was worth queuing to see a very powerful and moving exhibition. If you are in Wellington then make the effort to see it. A few images of the amazing model work from Weta Workshop taken in low light with no flash.
Yesterday I went out into my garden and saw my lillies were in full bloom so I decided to take some images, something I haven’t done for a little while with flowers. This is a series of images from simple to abstract.
Another image of the lovely Lake Wanaka at sunset, quite windy and the last warm light was touching the hills at the end of the Lake.
I have seen lots of images of the ‘Wanaka Tree’ but never actually visited it, on my trip last week I finally went and took a few images, nothing special but now at least I can say I have been there!
Very different light just after sundown in the blue hour over Lake Wanaka.
Sunset over Lake Wanaka again, this time a little later, the colours not quite to extreme.
Traveling down to Wanaka it was very windy and stormy. Mt Cook was definitely not visible looking down Lake Pukaki. Click through for a bigger image.
