Short or Long?

Two very different takes on exactly the same scene, one a short exposure (1/30s @ f/11 ISO100) and the second a long exposure (73s @ f/10 ISO100). Better or worse or just different?

  1. Short strikes me as the better. The long exposure makes the rocks look muddy and uninteresting for a foreground, more water swirl or actual movement showing over the rocks may have been better. Maybe making it square from the top down (removing the closer rocks) would have drawn me into the soft colours that are in the photo, quicker. Just my humble thoughts hope you don’t mind.

    • Always happy to get comments, I quite like both but probably somewhere in the middle might work best. Either way it is always good to try different options.
