I wasn’t sitting as close to the action on Saturday as sometimes and I didn’t take too many images, but a few anyway. They did check to see that my lens wasn’t more than 200mm though which is new – and madness given the abilities of compact cameras with small sensors and long zooms!
I have been practising adding textures to my wedge wall setup and slowly improving. The starting point is a mid grey wedge wall and by applying texture to the plain wedge I can lots of different looks, a quick cutout of the subject and picking a sensible bland mode in Photoshop (soft light in this case) you keep the shadows etc but can change the background nice and easily. This is the lovely Siobhan Cuttance trying not to knock the wedge wall down!
