Busy following the cricket and the Godzone adventure race online, I know some people taking part an amazing 7 day race on foot, kayak and mountain bike through some spectacular countryside. Good luck to all the teams and in particular to the Chimpanzee Bar and Fir For Life teams! In the meantime I have also been looking through a few more old photos, this is another from Milford Sound.

Back looking at old photos and found one from Milford Sound that I had never really worked out what to do with, so I had a play.
I am off to Wanaka for a few days next week and I thought I would look back at some previous images from Wanaka, taken a couple of years ago. This is not the famous Wanaka tree!
A few images from Mt Bruce, just pieces of the view. I should probably make a triptych with them sometime.
I am heading to the UK in a months time, including a couple of days in London. I was looking through my images from the last trip I took to London and thought it might be fun to share some. These were taken in May 2010. I wonder what my images will look like this time.
My camera is currently in having its sensor cleaned (about time too), as a result I find myself with a camera for the first time in a long time. I decided it was time to start getting my portfolio site a bit better organised and I have started a simple blog there as well, with the intention of starting to sell some of my images. You can follow that blog here if you are interested, feedback on my images is always appreciated.
As part of organising my new blog I have been looking through some of my old images, some for immediate use and others I have been revisiting just for fun, this is one I took of the Moeraki Boulders this time last year.
Four years ago today Christchurch was struck by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake, killing 185 people and many others injured. Thousands of buildings around the city and surrounds were badly damaged but four years on things are definitely improving – although sometimes with the roadworks and traffic it doesn’t always feel like it. Today we remember those who died but also look forward to a new Christchurch.
The Blackwells department store in Kaiapoi after the February 22nd quake, now rebuilt and looking great
The local Pines Beach store, gone now.
Lots of gaps at Pines Beach where houses have been torn down.
The new library in Kaiapoi, now complete and a lovely new building.
