Two very different views of Waikuku beach from Sunday night.
I had a fun mountain bike trip today up Mt Herbert on Banks Peninsula, sunny and warm with just enough breeze to make it comfortable. We took a trip on the Diamond Harbour ferry (which I ashamed to admit I have never used before) and then biked from Diamond Harbour. I definitely wasn’t about to carry my SLR with me, too big heavy and breakable!! I had my Phone instead which I only use very occasionally for photographs but it did okay today.
This is why it is called a push bike 🙂
Fun clouds by the time we got back to the ferry.
My second in this series, a different crop and a monochrome treatment for a change. Yesterday’s image had a little bit of camera motion added to the mix but this was just taken on a tripod. The image was processed in Lightroom and with Silver Efex Pro. I couldn’t decide on whether to add a frame or not, I decided yes this time.
1.3s @ f/14 ISO 50 24mm
Whenever I photograph somewhere I try and find as many different ways to look at it as possible, and water is one of my favourite things to photograph as it gives so many options with how or if to show its motion. Over the next few days I want to share some different interpretations of the same seen, both in terms of the I’m camera process and the post processing.
