There were some fairly impressive storm clouds around Christchurch this afternoon, I wandered out into our carpark and took a few shots. Great clouds 🙂
Something a little different today, I bought the 5 Day Deal a couple of weeks ago which had lots of great content. This week I have been watching a set of videos by Zack Arias called One Light 2.0. I am about half way through just now and really enjoying it. It is well produced in B&W with clear examples and Zack is a good teacher – I enjoy his sense of humour. It is a great resource for learning about lighting, covering everything from the basics of the equipment needed, the technical aspects of flash exposure and with some real examples along with a very well photographed squirrel.
Meanwhile…I am busy setting up another shoot hopefully with an Art Deco theme to try some ideas out, and a new nightstand with a boom turned up today 🙂 This a shot from a few weeks ago.
We wine to the Diwali celebrations in Christchurch today, Diwali is the Indian festival of lights and it was very colourful, the food was good too 🙂 For all the colours it was also quite dark much of the time we were there so I have ended up using high ISO even with my 50mm f/1.4 lens, and monochrome seemed like the way to go mostly. It also appears that my 50mm needs a little focus adjustment, so that will be tomorrow’s job.
A little colour to start.
And some B&W
