Slowly getting through my images from Mt Somers, it really was quite bright though, still some lovely views across the valleys.
Sometimes I take images that don’t quite work out, on my tramp at Mt Somers on Sunday I took a couple of bracketed shots for HDR processing, unfortunately I was in a bit or a hurry to make sure I got back before dark and did not quite get the composition and exposure brackets as I wanted, it just means I need to go back which is fine because it was a lovely place!
I am pretty tired this evening, I had planned on an early start for sunrise and then a tramp but having failed to sleep until about 4am I ended up skipping sunrise. I did go for a tramp though on the shortest day. I went to Mt Somers and walked to Woolshed Hut and back in a circle up over the tri-falls track and back by the miners trail. A good day and glorious weather – not actually the best for taking photos though.
The miners trail is named because there used to be a coal mine and the remains are still there, they made a fun subject for a quick HDR on the way back.
And some hills too…
