More attempts at sorting through my weekends images, slow progress but almost ready to start more serious editing I hope. A couple more test images today though.
Starting to have a harder look through my images from the weekend, the mood of the area changes so much with the weather and we had all sorts of weather. When we arrived (and when we left) it was wet, sometimes very and sometimes with snow and hail mixed in as well.
And other times the sky was blue and the clouds lovely and white.
These are still just quick edits trying to get a feel for what I have and what I can do with them, so far I am very pleased with the results despite having difficulty with the rain and water on the camera. With an annual rainfall of about 12m a dry day is a bonus!
I was lucky enough to spend this weekend in Fiordland National Park based in Milford Sound and most spectacular and amazing place. I have so many images to process I hardly know where to start. Here are a few very quick incomplete edits to give a glimpse of what we saw there.
I seem to be doing quite a lot of monochrome just now, here’s a shot of some falls in Arthur’s Pass National Park.
Another image I hadn’t worked on, sunset on Kairaki Beach.
Still processing images from my recent trips. This is the viaduct between Arthur’s Pass and Otira.
Five images tone mapped with HDR Efex Pro and converted to monochrome with Silver Efex Pro
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at the rugby this afternoon. Some good tries, lots of points and warm sunny weather. Its was nice to have a day game where I could keep the ISO a bit lower and still have a fast shutter speed.
Larry the Lamb was happy!
