A few shots from some of the paths and waterfalls around Arthur’s Pass village.
These are just quick edits for now.
I took my kids on a trip to Arthur’s Pass over the last couple of days and we drove over to the West Coast starting at Hokitika and ending in Punakaiki. The weather looked very ominous but until the drive back we actually avoided getting wet, The trip back to Arthur’s Pass however was horrid. Need less to say I took a few images over the trip and will post them as I get a chance although I am still working through wedding images as a priority.
This was taken from Punakaiki looking north along the coast using a 10 stop ND filter.
Last Saturday I shot my first wedding – for a friend. An interesting experience, definitely hard and more so given the weather which was wet and dark. I took a lot of images, almost all at ISO 800 and above and I am now working through them, deleting lots and editing the best ones. It will take a few days to get through them and I will share a few once I have finished. In the meantime I have a few shots of the venue and some details.
I have been playing with stitched panoramas lately, with varying degrees of success, the stitch is relatively straightforward, shoot in portrait mode and overlap each frame by at least 20% and Photoshop does a great job. The hard bit for me is composing a panorama to generate an interesting photograph rather than just a wide one.
These are all different views of Wanaka.
